Single OS subscriptions are available here. Mult-OS subscriptions (cheaper per) are available here. Magazine subscriptions (in case you got here by accident) are available here (download only are here).
Please note that for purposes of what we ship you, Multi-OS subscriptions are completely identical to Single OS subscriptions.
A subscription means this: we put your information in a database, and each time the OS that you've chosen is released, we charge your credit card the indicated amount (plus shipping), and ship you that release. There's no need to renew; it happens automatically until you contact us to cancel your subscription.
Typically, FreeBSD releases three times per year; OpenBSD and NetBSD release twice per year; Darwin releases when Apple updates Mac OS X significantly. Obviously this is dependent on the folks in charge of releases for the various BSD projects.
We try to ship the releases that are important, and that everyone will want. For example, if you'd had a FreeBSD subscription in 2002, we'd have charged you $25 ($22 if you had a multi-BSD subscription) in February and shipped you FreeBSD 4.5; $25 again in June or so and shipped you FreeBSD 4.6; $12.50 in August and shipped you FreeBSD 4.6.2 (half-price, only two CDs were updated); and $25 in October, and shipped you FreeBSD 4.7.
If you still have questions about CD subscriptions, email us.
